Our Story
Tasty Not Wasty was born from a powerful moment on Christmas Eve, when our founder witnessed "seven trollies worth of bread" being discarded and destined for waste. This stark contrast between food surplus and food insecurity sparked immediate action.
Established as a Community Interest Company in September 2020, we've grown from a personal response to waste into a vital community hub serving Llanyrafon and beyond.

From that first Christmas Eve to today, we've served thousands of meals, saved tonnes of food from waste, and built lasting connections in our community.
How It Works
Salvage
We partner with major supermarkets to collect surplus food that would otherwise be wasted.
Distribute
Fresh food is made available through our community fridge and pay-as-you-feel café.
Connect
We build community bonds and combat isolation through shared meals and events.

Access fresh food daily at our community fridge. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10-11am at Llanyrafon Methodist Church.
